If you haven’t experienced Shoe Sensation, it’s time to give it a go!
The staff at its Moundsville location couldn’t be any more helpful, especially to a mom with four kids to size and fit with all different style expectations and wish lists for back to school.
We received the most help from J.D., the store manager, who provided direction in our pursuit as well as valuable fitting advice. My youngest was hard to fit with a narrow foot, but J.D. stayed on task and after a few tries we were completely satisfied with an athletic shoe, fun high top canvas and a girly, early fall dress sandal.
While sizes are not always available in store, the Shoe Sensation staff made it known to utilize its ordering system with two-day priority shipping right to your home (yes, please!) or the store. This is FREE two-day priority shipping for all items more than $29.99 and only $5 for orders of less value.
I was so satisfied by the customer service, I’ll surely return. It makes it so easy to shop when you know the staff is accommodating to your kids. Shoe shopping with multiple children is not an easy task and as soon as my youngest, age 3, was losing her “demeanor,” a staff member was quick to ask if a lollipop could be offered and out of relief, I accepted without hesitation. That’s all we needed to leave the store sized, fitted, and ready for back to school!
Shoe Sensation is not just for the “littles” on your list, the store is well-suited to teens with top brands such as Adidas, Vans, Under Armour, Nike and Converse – all at unbeatable values.

I recommend stopping by Shoe Sensation with your kids to be sized in a few different styles (slip-on, tie, athletic) and brands, even if you’re the shop-from-home type. I admittedly would have made a few errors in selection during our recent Shoe Sensation visit without the great advice of a well-trained associate.
While the shoe selection was vast, the sock selection was low for small-sized feet when we were shopping. However, we visited the store following the height of back-to-school season and the 25% off Nike and Skechers socks was a great promotion for the store that shoppers took advantage of in a big way! I’m sure the socks will be stocked again soon as the promotion doesn’t end until Sept. 1.
