Find your family fun at the fair!
The Jefferson County Fair in Smithfield, Ohio, gets underway next week with gates opening Tuesday, Aug. 14 at 8 a.m. Visit the exhibits, take in an entertaining show or get your kids involved in the action this year!
Two kids’ events are scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 18 that will have your family cheering on your little ones. The Kids Pedal Tractor Pull takes place at 1 p.m. on the North Field with registration prior at noon. Try the Kids Battery Operated Obstacle Course & Race event on Saturday, Aug. 18 at 2:30 p.m. Registration begins at 2 p.m. also at the North Field. I’m sure many of you have contestants for the Baby Beautiful Contest on Sunday, Aug. 19. Register at the Gazebo at noon. Contest takes place at the Rozsa Pavilion at 1 p.m.
Daily family activities are scheduled such as Lazer Tag at North Field and Mr. Puppet in front of the Commercial Building. Of course, the animal exhibits are always a hit with the kiddos, as well as the Toy Farm Equipment Display and amusements.
The 2018 Grand Parade will be on the Main Road at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18.
