My daughter was at a tween birthday party and her friend said she just wanted to “be” with her friends, not be scheduled while with her friends. Parties and get-togethers nowadays typically involve big activities, while fun, don’t really give kids the freedom they enjoy.
In other words, kids want to just hangout!
