Fathers of the Future to hold first meeting

Wheeling group forms to improve parenting

By Emily Schloss April 3, 2018

Father-figures looking to improve relationships with their children or co-parenting skills should check out a new group forming in Wheeling.

Life Accelerated Fathers of the Future is a free event for men who want to be better mentors, leaders and fathers to their children while creating a positive relationship with their co-parenting partner.

Local leaders will be speaking on important co-parenting topics and attendees will have the opportunity to share thoughts and ideas.

"It doesn't matter if you're a step dad or just a regular dad, it's about us creating a group where we can learn from each other and share our stories. It's going to be ideas that have worked in our lives in raising our children and ideas that haven't worked. We can create a common bond to improve our situations," Founder Jason Boyd, recently told WTRF.

The first Life Accelerated Fathers of the Future free event is coming up on Saturday, April 21. It will be held at the First Christian Church on National Road in Wheeling from noon to 4 p.m.
